here is the new shit

Story Board-

Example of how it will fold up.

in this project i will be attempting to illustrate myself as a drummer and having a passion for metal. I  will be using the pentagon shape to build a 3d sphere. it will fold up from the simple shapes to a sphere and the camera will rotate around. the pentagons while it is spinning they will pull away and convey different imagery. the sphere will also use convert audio to keyframes to have the shapes animate to a beat i construct in garage band. The use of the imagery and technicality from the convert audio to keyframe will illustrate the reason i listen to metal.

heres the pattern i will have to construct into a sphere.

we gonna switch it up

instead of focusing on other peoples views it will either be about my view on metal or focus on the technicality of the music, musician, etc.

heres my little quick illustration of what it will kind of look like, sorta.

might use some of this action-lil energy ball!

proposal

In this project I will be attempting to illustrate the reason why people listen to heavy, death, black, metal, rock, and hardcore genres. I want to show why the (metal heads) are drawn to the scene.
Some followers of the rock scene describe their music as their own little world. I will create the followers world by using different ideas from statements and or interviews, eventually constructing a solid form of the idea.
I will be using hexagons or another shapes as symbols for people’s reasons for listening. The shapes will build a sphere to represent the world of reasoning. all the shapes will appear to be separate then join together to form the sphere, on top of the shape will be a representation of different feelings, reasons, problems, and maybe interviews. The shapes will randomly extrude, but staying intact with the sphere, to show the details of reasons. Then all the difference will come together to form a solid shape.
It will be communicating the idea to people that think that metal is all evil and is corrupted and show that its just a personal preference and a way that people get through life or problems.

Text Project

It was harder than I thought it was going to be. I don't think i was very successful with this project, i had trouble trying to set a mood with the text. i think i have some nice parts but i feel that it's missing something.

Saul Bass

Saul Bass born May 8, 1920, in New York City was an American graphic designer and Academy Award-winning filmmaker, but his best work is for his design on motion picture title sequences. He went to the Art Students’s league in Manhattan then attended Brooklyn College. His 40 year career he worked on numorous Hollywood films; Alfred Hitchcock, Otto Preminger, Stanley Kubrick and Martin Scorsese. Bass wanted to create an enhanced experience for the audience and create the mood and the theme for the movie within the opening scene. Bass was the first to conceptualize the creative tone and mood you can have for movie credits. His poster design for the “The Man with a Golden Arm” from the 50’s is what started this chain reaction for the movie credit projects. Bass also designed the AT&T Bell System logo and the AT&T “globe” logo. He designed with almost a cut paper aesthetics, it was very simple line work with strong contrasting colors. Bass was one of the most recognizable designers of his time.

heres The final. Made a few adjustments, figured out a better way to simulate the ball falling through the clouds and added few more details.
